In the face of sporadic lockdowns and restrictions, multiple CSOs were forced to temporarily shutter their operations; however, the FYF has managed to continue providing a consistent stream of services to the Yezidi community to include mental health treatment, the provision of masks and food, among others. Overall, as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how quickly Iraq's civil society can recover and resume operations at pre-pandemic levels. | The FYF has yet to publish its 2021 Fiscal Year Report, however, data collected in 2019 and 2020 showed the following breakdown for funding: For Stichting Free Yezidi (The Free Yezidi Foundation in the Netherlands), a total of €1.394.907 was collected as revenue in 2019 with 93% in the form of institutional donations (with donors including the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UN Women's UNTF, Women for Women International, the 5th Element Group, and the US-based Semnani Family Foundation) while the remaining 7% consisted of individual donations. Revenue collection decreased in 2020 with €417,707.72 amassed and a similar break-down of 83.6% stemming from public institutions or private foundations and 16.4% arising from individual donations. For the Free Yezidi Foundation USA, a total of $236.867,70 was collected in 2019 with 92% arising from public and private institutions, to include the US State Department and USAID, and the remaining 8% consisting of private donations.
