Although recent developments pose challenges to the future of the Iran Nuclear Deal (JCPOA) and the larger non-proliferation and disarmament efforts in the Middle East, they also bring into focus the important role of the other parties to that agreement.

The E3 (France, Germany, UK) and the European Union, together with China and Russia, are seeking ways and means of restoring the JCPOA, bringing both the USA and Iran back into compliance with it, while also tackling the questions of ballistic missiles and other regional security concerns.

This webinar brought to you by the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) and the Middle East Treaty Organization (METO) brings together speakers from EU, Russian, Chinese and Iranian perspectives in order to talk about the challenges facing them and the possible ways forward for restarting the process.

Speakers include:
Tarja Cronberg – Distinguished Associate Fellow at SIPRI
Anton Khlopkov – Founding director of the Center for Energy and Security Studies
Dina Esfandiary – Senior Adviser at the International Crisis Group
Li Chijiang – Vice President and General Secretary, China Arms Control and Disarmament Association
